Coaches & volunteers

Great teams grow because adults keep showing up.

Coaching can mean mentoring riders on trail, helping run practices, supporting race weekends, or pitching in behind the scenes so the season feels organized and welcoming.

Get involved

Become a coach or volunteer

Whether you are a seasoned rider or a parent who wants to help, there is a path to get involved and learn the system.

Why coach

Support kids and local trails

Coaching is part mentoring, part community-building, and part helping kids discover something they may love for life.

Training

NICA and PICL education

There is a real training path, but it should feel approachable. The goal is to equip adults, not gatekeep them.

Other roles

Volunteer, support, and logistics help

Some adults will not coach on trail, but will gladly help with events, communication, stewardship days, or team operations.

Safety

Coaches keep rides fun and safe

Training, CPR, First Aid, and a culture of watching out for every rider all matter here.

Why it matters

Coaches and volunteers help create the culture riders remember. They make practices smoother, race weekends calmer, and the team more welcoming for every new family that shows up.

Volunteer opportunities can include ride leaders, sweep riders, race-day helpers, sponsor support, and trail work volunteers.
