David joined the Hellbenders as a coach in 2021 and later stepped into team leadership as the organization grew into a 501(c)(3).

The Hellbenders team began in 2019 and has grown from a small founding group into a larger rider-and-coach community rooted in Southern Chester County.
Team story
The Hellbenders started with 10 coaches and 15 athletes in 2019 and have grown into a thriving team with more than 30 athletes and 20 plus coaches. That growth has been powered by local families, consistent coaching, and an atmosphere that encourages older riders to support new riders.
Where we ride and serve
Practices center around local riding areas like Crossan Park and Fair Hill. The team is part of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League and helps riders discover both the joy of competition and the deeper rewards of outdoor adventure.

Kevin returned to mountain biking alongside his sons and became part of the board as the team continued to grow.
