A little bit about our team
The SoChesco Hellbenders mountain bike team was founded in 2019 by Michael Morrell and Greg Shriver to compete in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League (PICL). Mike assumed the role of Head Coach and Greg assumed the role of Team Director. The original team consisted of 10 athletes and 10 coaches and has since grown to 30+ athletes and 20+coaches. You can find us practicing at Crossan Park in Landenberg, PA or Fair Hill NRMA in Elkton, MD.

Upcoming Hellbender Events
As we wrap up 2023 and say goodbye to our graduating seniors, we look forward to 2024. Our calendar is starting to come into place and we will list any local events here, as well as our teams upcoming race schedule with PAMTB. Bellmont Plateau in Philadelphia welcomes PICL for the first time in Eastern PA! Belmont Plateau is arguably the best view of the Philly skyline in the entire city. The grassy hill is perfect for laying out on a blanket or a picnic with friends, all set to a postcard view of Center City and West Philadelphia.
Blue Mountain welcomes PICL back to the Poconos for the Eastern Conference final Race! Year round Family Friendly Outdoor Adventure.
